Our families are a gift from God, and something we clearly are called to care for an prioritize. Yet for too many people today our families have turned from something we are called to love, into our Lord. Ogden Church's examination of the Nativity continues as we see how to love our families this Christmas while keeping God as Lord.
We all want deep relationships with other people, but it is often harder than simply snapping our fingers. As our look at Romans 12-15 comes to a close we look at the difference it makes when we allow our minds to be fused to Christ. As we fall deeper in love with Jesus we gain greater ability to connect to others despite the barriers that may exist or the hits we may take.
Understanding that we are deeply loved by the God of the universe is a powerful truth, but one that can be easily washed away in the face of the cares of the world. Surrounding ourselves in Life Group communities allows us to find ways to continually be built up and encouraged in our walk with Christ
We are called to set our hearts on the things above, and yet so often our sin weighs us down. Whether we become too focused on ourselves or with others it is all too easy to lose focus on what we are called to be. Living life in community allows us to cut our anchors, raise our sails, and experience freedom to set our hearts where they should be.
