With Us - Week 1

Really good news is something you can't help but share! And during the Christmas season we have the best news of all: that God came to be with us to save us from the sin we are stuck in... and that's a message worth sharing! As we begin the With Us Series we look at the shepherds and how the good news of Christmas was observed, confirmed, and shared.

Great - Full Pt2

“I’m Full!”

This quote spoken by so many of us after the huge Thanksgiving meal we ate last week… yet we still ate even more. King David had this same “I’m Full” attitude when he penned Psalm 145. It started with his recognition of God’s greatness “Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised and his greatness is unsearchable” (Psalm 145:3) but then ended with his clear expression of just how full God had made him. Pastor John shares “15 Reasons why I am Full” based on verses 13-21. See how full you are!

Great - Full Pt 1

I don’t believe we mean to do it, but we often approach Thanksgiving and forget it’s meaning. We inadvertently become grateful for the Turkey, or stuffing, pumpkin pie, or cranberry sauce, (maybe even the lions game) when we should be thankful for a Great God who has provided for us. King David recognized misplaced attention from God and wrote a song (Psalm 145) to help him and others to boast, to focus, to inspire, and to perspire that “GREAT is the LORD and GREATLY to be PRAISED”! Pastor John walks us through Psalm 145 to help us see just how to make THANKSGIVING GREAT AGAIN!

The Great Test pt1

Sometimes when we understand God’s great love for us  it is hard to know how to love God back.  Pastor John shares the unique perspective that Jesus reinforced as the greatest commandment of “Loving God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength” in order to pass “The Great Test.”  Will you pass the test????

Jonah & The City pt 4

The fourth and final week of working our way through the book of Jonah is focused on how we decide what is right?  We often get wrapped up, just like Jonah, and ask two questions:  Do I agree and Am I comfortable?  Are these the right questions to ask or not?  Listen in as we explore Jonah chapter 4.

Jonah & The City pt 3

God is a God of second chances.  It is easy for people to feel like they have messed up and are too far away from God for them to be reached.  We are reminded in the third chapter of Jonah that God can reach any person no matter how far.  But when His message comes to us we must respond in repentance to receive His great gift of grace.

Jonah & The City pt 2

There are times in everyone’s life when things go from bad to worse.  Even when we walk through those times we can often look back and see God at work.  We are reminded through looking at the second chapter of Jonah, that we are never alone.  Even when things are not good, God is always there.  Listen in and remember that no matter what your going through God is there.

9-2-18 My Way Or The Highway pt 2

Having considered that God’s ways are “higher than our ways and his thoughts higher than our thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8) and having concluded that I don’t want my way I want the Highway -- -- How should I respond to the Highway (God’s way) and what can I expect his responses to be?  Pastor John shares the importance of TRUST (Proverbs 3:5 & 6) as God responds with

GO, WAIT, and NO!

8-26-18 My Way Or The Highway

Are you struggling with so many of your plans not coming to pass?  Do you get frustrated trying to understand what God’s plans are for you?  Are you puzzled by trouble in your life? I’m excited to share what God has been working in me regarding seeking His will over my own will!  Could it be his ways really are higher than our ways and that Each of us is left with “My way or the highway?”
